Tax Manager

 

 

We are recruiting for an experienced Tax Manager to join our practice and hit the ground running. We are looking to recruit a motivated and driven individual to help deliver and shape our tax offering across the firm. The ideal candidate will be organised and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement, as we continue to advance towards a paperless, cloud-based practice.

Evolve Tax & Accountancy LLP was established over 13 years ago and operates from four offices across East Anglia. This role will be based in our Fordham, Cambridgeshire practice and we can offer flexible working hours to the right candidate

Reporting into our Managing Partner, your main responsibilities will be:

• Managing the completion and submission of tax returns

• Managing staff to assist with tax return preparation

• Identifying tax planning opportunities

• Keeping technically up to date

• Maintain working relationships with clients

• Assisting in the continued growth of the firm by acting for new clients

• General practice management, including liaising with our Practice Administrator

 

Candidates will need to have a natural ability to work well with people and be able to develop long lasting and trusting relationships with our clients. A commitment to delivering exceptional client service alongside being a good team player will be the key to success in this role.

Experience required for this role include:

• Experience in managing a team, meeting deadlines and helping to develop and train colleagues

• Experience in taking the initiative on projects and spotting opportunities to generate additional tax advisory work

• The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and to tailor communication appropriately

• The ability to work as part of a team including across disciplines

• A strong commercial awareness and strong attention to detail

• A solutions focussed approach

 

You will have notable experience within an accountancy practice and be ATT/CTA qualified, or qualified by experience, with prior experience working with a varied, high-level portfolio of clients. Experience of using Xero and Digita would be desirable. You will be confident building and maintaining client relationships and have a broad and up to date knowledge of relevant tax legislation. Ideally you will be a self-starter, work well within a team and have a desire to progress through the ranks of our firm.
